What is Precision Machining?

Precision machining is used to design and create the following:

Machines
Tools
Parts
Components

To create these, blueprints are inputted into the system either via CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) or CAD (Computer Aided Design) programs.

The machine then controls the various tools to ensure that the finished product matches the specifications.

Precision machining comes with many benefits including increased efficiency, safety, accuracy, as well as a reduce in cost due to minimum waste.

Precision machining also allows for the greater miniaturisation of parts – making more fiddly components a lot easier to manufacture.
