Bryken is committed to regularly investing in its technology, ensuring no machine stays on the shop floor for more than 10 years. The company has recently purchased its sixth Miyano BNE-51MSY turn-mill.

Citizens BNE series is renowned for its outstanding precision and heavy cutting capability. Its turn-milling cycles have the advantage of synchronised control, using up to three tools simultaneously. The sub-spindle is used to track the upper turret for cutting reverse-end features while the same turret is performing front-end operations on the bar at the main spindle.

The company began updating its fixed head machines in 2018 due to a high increase in demand. Its continued investment through to 2021 has improved its cycle times by up to 40%! Spending around £1 million annually on new machinery has allowed the business to efficiently produce its products with the latest technology and therefore thrive in competitive global markets.
